Mountainside Race Track
Mountainside Race Track

The Mountainside Track is probably Redline's most visually impressive track. You have everything from tunnels and bridges to huge drop offs and hundreds of trees. It's also one of the tougher tracks, even though it has very few sharp turns it uses a combination of hills and turns to try and send you into the dirt.

Turn By Turn Walkthrough:

1. The first turn on this track can easily make or break an entire race. You have to take a left turn that increases its sharpness all while going uphill, and if you miscalculate you'll end up on the edge of the track and then you'll hit the face of the tunnel while your competitors speed on by. There is really no one way to take this turn, you can approach it fast, or slow, the main thing is to make it in the tunnel, if you managed to do that each lap you'll still be in the race.

Mountainside Tip 1
Watch out for the wall!

2. Once you're in the tunnel you'll make a slow bend to the left. Once you get to the end of the tunnel the turn will increase. It's not all that hard of a turn to complete but if you are too far to the right you'll hit an annoyingly place rock.

Mountainside Tip 2
Stay to the left to avoid the rocks on the right.

3. At the end of the left turn the track reverses back to the right. This turn also gets tighter near the end. While you can make sure you complete the turn its not all that bad to scrape the wall of the bridge, as long as you don't flip or spinout in the process of course.

4. After you clear the bridge you'll head left again, and as usual the turn tightens up as it goes. This is another fairly easy turn, and another one where you'll hit some rocks if you try to hug the right wall.

Mountainside Tip 3
Again, stay to the left to avoid rocks.

5. After clearing the tunnel you'll probably want to slow down before attempting the the left turn. If you're careful this turn is no problem. Once you hit the next short straight section you should start really slowing down.

6. Turn six is a hard left turn that's located on a steep downhill slope. You'll want to hit this turn at around 40MPH. This turn is easy to spinout on so you'll have to be very careful. You'll basically be sliding partially sideways constantly adjusting your power and steering so you don't spin.

Mountainside Tip 4
Do whatever it takes to maintain control.

7. If you make it past turn six you'll quickly be faced with another downhill turn, to the right this time. Fortunately the turn isn't as sharp and the hill isn't as steep, but this turn can still cause a spinout.

Mountainside Tip 5
Take the inside of this curve.

8. After a left bending straightaway you'll have to make a small bend to the left. While its not a hard turn it is very fast and if you mess up you could lose a race within site of the finish line.
