The Maserati 3200GT is in Redline's group of fast but not superfast cars. It will easily outrun cars like the Audi TT and Mustang but can't match the speed of the Porsche 959 or Diablo. In many ways the Maserati 3200GT is very similar to the Viper, both are rear wheel drive, and both are fairly good at turning. The Maserati is slightly more maneuverable than the Viper, it feels slightly more responsive when you tell it to turn. This makes the Maserati a bit better at handling difficult turns than the Viper.
It also seems that this responsiveness causes the Maserati to spin its back end around more often. In high speed cornering the Maserati seemed to be a bit more slippery, a bit less stuck to the road, than the Viper. Tests also show that the Maserati is just slightly slower than the Viper.
In the end its likely that a well driven Maserati 3200GT will be an excellent competitor to the Viper.
